International Development Research Centre

The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) supports research in developing countries to promote growth and development. The result is innovative, lasting local solutions that aim to bring choice and change to those who need it most. IDRC helps developing countries use science and technology to find solutions to local problems leading to healthier people, higher incomes, cleaner environments, and responsible governments.

IDRC collaborates with accomplished scholars and nurture a new generation of researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to improve lives in developing countries.

Development Orientation:
IDRC funds researchers in the developing world so they can build healthier, more prosperous societies. IDRC pursue its goal by funding research focused on reducing poverty and creating equitable access to resources and services. IDRC support work that promotes good governance and builds strong policies. The applied research we back directly addresses existing or emerging problems in developing countries.
